SEAS, TERRITORIES, SITES

These are the three categories that organize the information collected and produced during the research.

SEAS - This category refers to all the tectonic and political processes that together build up the idea of the island and the archipelago.

TERRITORIES - The word territory is crucial for the formation of the Nation State as such. This category refers to the process of emergence, historical evolution and current condition of the Dominican-Haitian border.

SITES - Concentrates on the various points of intersection of the powers that operate at the border. It looks at the contemporary spaces of exchange and movement as well as at the material and in-material products that go through it.
